4th Congress of the
International Federation of Infection Control
2003's annual infection
control event was the Fourth Congress of the International Federation
of Infection Control (IFIC), which was held at the Hilton Malta from
Sunday 9 November to Wednesday 12 November 2003. This was a unique occasion
when infection control experts of worldwide repute converged in Malta
and participated in an international conference incorporating more than 50
presentations.
In
order to maximise the local benefit of such an event, the Infection Control
Unit negotiated with IFIC and obtained special reduced rates for Maltese
delegates. They included
“no-frills” full congress packages as well as day-attendance options to
facilitate maximal attendance by interested individuals.
In addition, a limited
number of full congress sponsorships where available for delegates intending
to present a poster or oral presentation during the congress.
